Guy implicated of attacking ex-girlfriend over social networks post
MEMPHIS, Tenn.– A Memphis guy was collared after he was implicated of attacking an ex-girlfriend over a social networks post.
It all started Wednesday afternoon, after a female called police mentioning that her good friend had actually simply sent her a text asking her to call 911, according to an authorities affidavit.
When officers came to the apartment building, they made contact with the victim who declared that her ex-boyfriend, Deandre Speaks, had assaulted her in her house.
She explained that a number of days back, she had actually released a post about Speaks on social networks. He then appeared at her house on Wednesday and started kicking the door in an effort to get in.
When in the apartment, Speaks allegedly damaged her cellphone prior to getting her by the neck and choking her. He then supposedly struck her in the face.
“Stop discussing me on Facebook,” he shouted.
He then put her face down on the flooring and sat on her back with his hands wrapped around her neck. While on top of her, the victim said he called his sis and informed her to come over to assault the victim.
At some point, the victim said she had the ability to get to her room, recover another mobile phone and send a text for help.
While awaiting police to show up, the victim said she tried to escape, but Speaks blocked the door. She stated she became afraid for her security when he informed her that he wanted to go back to prison.
The victim eventually got away when Speaks enabled an upkeep worker inside to alter an air filter.
Speaks was jailed and charged with domestic assault/bodily harm, exacerbated assault and vandalism. He has already been released on $55,000 bond.
