Mother Deals With Criticism After Threatening Breastfeeding Moms on Social Media
One mama is getting slammed on social networks for threatening to punch breastfeeding women and their babies in a viral Facebook rant. In a post from July 2018 that has given that been removed, Carly Clark composed, “I’m not sorry– the next female that tries to whip her boob out to breastfeed in front of my kids will get a shiner, move that baby [because] I’ll punch it too #zerocare #why #inpublicletsjustshowkidsboobs #notmine.”
Not surprisingly, the Spartanburg, S.C. family pet groomer’s remarks were consulted with a lot of annoyed responses from breastfeeding mommies. Jessi Vogel, 25, was just among many who responded. She commented, “To see another lady with kids state that she wants to provide the female a shiner for feeding in front of her children– it actually takes us a step back to have other females saying this.”
Another upset mom added, “What in the actual hell??! How do people– especially a female– still have this type of mindset???! How ludicrous!! We have been feeding our babies the way our bodies intended given that the dawn of time.”
When confronted about her questionable post, Clark refused to say sorry, first pointing out that her comment was only directed at one individual. She then said, “Do what you want, but I find it really immature that you as a mother would head out of your way to come to a location that you know I operate at and breastfeed.”
And she didn’t stop there, adding,” [I don’t care] who breastfeeds when my kids aren’t around. Pulling your boob out in front of my kids on purpose simply to prove a point is merely represented by who you are as an individual.”
Mothers weren’t the only ones offended by Clark’s rant. Petsense, Clark’s now-former employer, fired her quickly after the occasion, explaining, “We definitely would never ever excuse violence such as was recently posted … This person is no longer utilized by Petsense. We genuinely apologize to all of those who have actually been impacted by this scenario.”
