‘Ikaw na bachelor’s degree talaga ‘yan?’ Sarah’s social media move that captured even ‘Popsters’ by surprise|ABS-CBN News
MANILA– Long-time fans of Sarah Geronimo on social media would understand that a lot of, if not all, of her updates include well-formulated promos of brands she backs, her own items, or her music or film jobs.
Geronimo, it appears, does not utilize her known accounts as an individual outlet, with some fans persuaded that her management team, not the singer, is responsible for posting career-related updates.
That is, up until Sunday, when the social networks pages of Geronimo published a photo and caption that are uncharacteristic of her accounts’ brands-based history.
In the image, Geronimo is seen presenting inside a dressing space filled with congratulatory arrangements, due to her current wedding with veteran partner and fellow Kapamilya star Matteo Guidicelli.
“Thank you, ASAP household and Popsters,” the caption went, describing the ABS-CBN show variety show and her devoted fanbase.
Aside from a flood of further congratulatory messages, enthusiastic talk about the Twitter and Instagram posts asked if it was, indeed, Geronimo who shared the picture and wrote its caption.
“Ikaw na bachelor’s degree talaga ‘yan?” wrote one fan, as did many others, describing Geronimo’s pages having a refreshingly individual update.
Geronimo, 31, has long been evasive when it pertains to discussing her personal life. That stayed the case even as her secret wedding with Guidicelli unfolded controversially, with her mother, Divine, allegedly triggering a scene at the reception.
While that’s the case, Geronimo’s relocate to push through with the wedding was commonly seen as taking her independence, after years of headings depicting her parents as being fiercely protective, twice costing the pop star’s romantic relationships.
That there was an apparent shift in her social media existence, just as she became Mrs. Guidicelli, was not lost on her faithful “Popsters”– who now eagerly await what Geronimo will publish next.
