Lee County commissioners using social media, informs, billboards to tell people to stay at home
“We are trying to get some new school methods like those phone notifies, social media notifies, whatever we can,” stated Lee County Commissioner Brain Hamman. “We are going to even set up some signboards to try to let people understand to stay at home and to stop the spread of COVID-19.”
The new project to stop the coronavirus spread follows an emergency situation meeting Wednesday. County leaders did not implement a shelter in location order, however they are asking you only leave your house for necessary things.
“Even if you’re within your own gated community, in like possibly your community pool or your own club house … you’re still not safe,” Hamman stated. “If you’re calling other people more than you need to today, you’re putting yourself at unneeded danger.”
